K-12 Grants Showcase
On Oct. 23, students, parents and community members went on a BRS tour, where they were able to experience some of the grants the Fund for Learning has made possible in the Pleasantville Schools.

The PFFL would especially like to thank all the teachers, students and administrators who volunteered their time to make this event a success.

Educational Innovation

Since 1993, the Pleasantville Fund for Learning has been making grants to students and teachers in the Pleasantville School District to provide innovative tools for learning and creativity in our schools. Every student in the Pleasantville Schools has experienced "hands-on" learning enhancements thanks to the generosity of PFFL supporters.

At a time when school district budgets are under severe financial pressure, the PFFL grants provide a way to fund educational enrichment activities.u

Grants

Art, music, technology, languages, physical education, math, science, social studies, character education, study skills ... students have experienced enhancements in virtually every curriculum area due to PFFL grants.

The Harvest Moon Dinner Dance on November 14 was a big success! Despite a gloomy financial picture, over 150 supporters of Pleasantville education turned out for a lovely evening of fine food and great music in elegant Crabtree's Kittle House. Our 2009 Grant cycle has begun and, thanks to you, we look forward to another wonderful year!

Grants to Teachers and Students

In 2007, the Middle School received a grant for a Lego robotics system as part of their new 8th grade Technology class.
