Dear neighbors,

It has been a wonderful year for the Pleasantville Fund for Learning.  The enthusiasm and generosity of our communty has enhanced Pleasantville education with more than $32,723 of exciting grants for the 2011 cycle. We also are thrilled to have been able to partner with the Pleasantville Special Education PTA, the Bedford Road School PTA, the Pleasantville Middle School PTA, and the Pleasantville High School Parent Council in funding the 2011 grants.

For 17 years, the Fund for Learning has been providing seed money for new ways of helping children learn in the Pleasantville Schools. In 2011, we awarded 10 grants. Our 2011 grants continue the legacy of promoting art, music, character education, physical education, critical and creative thinking skills and math technology.  The hands-on learning opportunities which so many of our grants provide have become an integral part of each school’s curriculum.

We thank everyone in our community and beyond for their generous support.  We look forward to another year of continuing to work together to help directly benefit the children of the Pleasantville Schools.
